A summary of “Act 24 of 2003: Driving After Imbibing Alcohol or Using Drugs” is now available. This summary contains information on changes to the Crimes, Judiciary and Vehicle Codes that are amended by this Act.

This summary has been provided by the Pennsylvania Driving Under the Influence (PA DUI) Association.

October 3, 2003 Update

The General Assembly of Pennsylvania has passed Senate Bill No. 8, Session of 2003 which is amending Titles 18 (Crimes and Offenses), 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) and 75 (Vehicles) and reduces the legal limit for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) to .08% Blood Alcohol Content (BAC).

GOVERNOR RENDELL SIGNS LEGISLATION CHANGING STATE'S DRUNK DRIVING LAWS LEGISLATION LOWERS LEGAL LIMIT FROM .10 TO .08 PERCENT

Materials published by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board containing information about DUI laws are currently being updated. The following materials dated prior to October 2003 with these item #’s are now obsolete and should be destroyed:
