Carini Furzivu Munti Sucu 2005
"The aromatics: plums, black cherry, eucalyptus, cranberry and vanilla, with more earthy notes of cigar box, dried rose petal, and jasmine. Once you begin to take all of that in, you'll notice the deep garnet color and amazing viscosity. Flavors of bright cherry, plum/prune, and cranberry jelly are at the forefront with the finish flowing into tobacco, cocoa, vanilla and more. An amazing mouthfeel results from the mingling of acidity and smooth-as-silk tannins that give this wine texture and depth, with a finish that goes on and on. As with all our wines, we recommend decanting, or a lot of swirling!"
"The 2005 Carini Furzivu Munti Sucu is a much different style than the over-the-top 2004. This offering has more finesse and balance; less wood dominance. Aromas of cherry, cranberry, vanilla and blackberry. The mouth is saturating and rich with cranberry, black cherry, coffee, spice and rose petal. Finishes with good acid to keep this wine fresh on the palate. Very nice."
